Moving your smart meter to a new energy provider

Our energy suppliers use smart meters made by a company called Secure. Secure also supply meters to Utilita, First Utility, E.ON and Bristol Energy. If you have a Secure smart meter from one of these companies then it will work with your new supplier.

If it's not a Secure meter, it won't work and will become 'dumb'. This means it will work just like a normal meter and you'll lose the 'smart' benefits. You'll have to give the new supplier meter readings manually, and your In-Home Display might not work.
