How long energy switches take

You can sign up for an energy switch in the Monzo app in a few minutes. We then hand over to the new energy supplier.

From that point, it'll take at least 17 days to switch. You're covered by the Energy Switch Guarantee, which means you shouldn't lose your energy supply while the switch is happening.

It can take up to 17 days because the new supplier will need to get things in order with your old supplier, like collecting and processing your meter details. The good news is, they'll handle everything and send you regular updates on the progress of your switch.
