Pending payments

When you make a payment, it happens in two parts:

1. We set the money aside in your account so you can’t spend it – that’s when we create a transaction in your app
2. The merchant comes to collect the money, usually a couple of days later

In the time between us setting the money aside and the merchant collecting it, the payment's ‘pending’ – so we put a note on the transaction to let you know.
