Paying someone

If you want to send a payment to someone on Monzo, you just need to have them as a contact in your phone.

You can also send money to anyone by email, text or through social media (like Facebook) without needing to know their bank details.

Or you can send a regular bank transfer. To do this, you'll need:

• the recipient's name
• their account number
• their sort code

Transfers should be instant, but can take up to 2 hours (if it takes longer than the end of the next working day, please contact us in the app).

To send money, tap the Payments icon in the menu bar and choose how to make the payment.
